You had us at cast iron skillet. But, then you went ahead and added crispy fried pork chops, smothered in gravy and finished off with organic thick cut bacon crumbles and fresh parsley. Damn.
Our organic free range boneless southern fried chicken sandwich on a toasted, buttered brioche bun with pickles and housemade grown southern spicy aioli is more than a snack, it’s a whole meal.
Marinated in buttermilk, seasoned, battered and fried to crispy, golden brown perfection; our grown Southern Fried Chicken is just THAT chick.
And what would our grown Southern menu be without the “staple” of any soul food menu worth its weight in seasoning salt. Introducing our grown Southern Mac & Cheese. To describe it in words would be a grave disservice. Let’s just say, you’re welcome.
This signature side dish is a feast for the palette; it features fresh corn right off the cob, jalapeño, organic thick cut bacon, smoked paprika and a potpourri of molten hot cheeses. (Yeah, we corny, so what.)
This is my Grammie’s Jagacita (“Jag”) recipe. As a proud Black woman of Cape Verdean descent, I am thrilled to be able to celebrate the stories of women I love through food and to be able to include a family recipe that has been passed down generation after generation on our grown southern menu. It’s a GOOD Morning, Sunshine. Our golden brown waffles are drizzled with organic maple syrup and the perfect compliment to our buttermilk grown southern fried chicken; but, that doesn’t mean they don’t make a perfect breakfast, brunch or lunch treat all by themselves.
Just a spoonful of the room filling aroma of our drool worthy, buttery and naturally sweet candied yams are enough to have brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon dancing on your taste buds. Best part? They’re around even after Mariah stops collecting Christmas royalty checks.
A hearty mix of crunchy emerald kale and romaine lettuce with flavorful layers of grapes, avocado, radishes, fresh corn, cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese and our house-made Chardonnay vinaigrette. If you’re going to eat a salad, this is IT.
Our vitamin rich, smoky collard greens and cabbage are seasoned to perfection with onions, garlic and smoked paprika and is the perfect vegan side dish. These plants’ll make you dance.
